Kasper Vandenberghe (°1983) started his training at Dora van der Groen’s theatre class (Antwerp) in 2004. He performed with Zeepcompagnie and Zuidelijk Toneel (Eindhoven) and toured with the Ghent-based collective Ontroerend Goed. At this moment, he spends most of his time working with Troubleyn/Jan Fabre. He was one of the performers in the latter’s Orgy of Tolerance and Prometheus Landscape II. In his own work Kasper Vandenberghe explores the relationship between the public mainstream and the will of the individual, as well as people’s constant stream of thought and the physical translation of that. Wie Spreekt Mijn Gedachte (2011), a monologue based on a text by Jan Fabre, and De Beproeving / The Ordeal (2006) focus on fellow travellers people who unconditionally follow what is preached by others without actually wondering what they really want themselves. A similar theme - how the individual likes to be part of the masses and wants the mass to remain - can be found in Vandenberghe’s performances on location Sweet Suite (Koksijde, 2004) and Annalema (Eindhoven, 2008). Kurt Vandendriessche (°1975) trained to become an actor at the Brussels Conservatory and studied stage design at the Brussels Institut Saint-Luc and POPOK (Antwerp). He initially worked for film, television, street and puppet theatre. Later he performed in Jan Decorte’s Cirque Danton and in work by Jan Fabre, including Parrots & Guinea Pigs, Orgy of Tolerance and Prometheus Landscape II. In 2003 he created Map Me, a duet with Charlotte Vanden Eynde that continued to receive international acclaim four years on end. In his own work, he explores the autonomy of the sublime and theatrical self-consciousness of both performers and audience. Ginette+ investigated the Samaritan attitude towards the dying, dead and reviving body. Pèrfides #1 was a performance by and with his six year-old daughter Lilith, who created it under his guidance and who actually directed him. Collapsus is a performance with two brothers - 9 and 12 years old – which seizes upon the rivalry between playing children for a futuristic allegory on their mutual particularities. The performance premiered early September 2011 during ‘Scheld'apen’ in Antwerp.
