ALMOST NOT MAD is een biografische langspeelfilm over de legendatische Poolse danser-choreograaf Vaslav Nijinsky (1888-1950). De film, geschreven en geregisseerd door Sidney Leoni, schommelt tussen feit, fictie en fantasie en meandert doorheen het leven van Nijinsky. We volgen hem tijdens zijn succesjaren in Parijs bij de Ballets Russes, tot in 1919, wanneer zijn mentale gezondheid achteruitgaat en hij de diagnose krijgt van schizofrenie. In zijn dagboeken getuigt Nijinsky over zijn aanraking met psychose. Stilaan verliest hij zijn realiteitszin, hij wordt achtervolgd door seksuele obsessies en door de horror van de Eerste Wereldoorlog.
ALMOST NOT MAD ontving de prijs voor Beste Internationale Feature Film op het Polish International Film Festival.
