Brice Leroux studeerde dans aan het Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse van Lyon, aan het American Dance Festival van Durham en bij de dansers van Trisha Brown en Merce Cunningham in New York.

In 1994 vestigde hij zich in Brussel, waar hij zich, na een kortstondige loopbaan als danser, aan choreografisch onderzoek wijdde. Hij geeft hij talloze eenmalige performances die gebaseerd zijn op gestructureerde improvisatie op specifieke plaatsen en in specifieke situaties.

Vanaf 1998 ontwikkelt Brice Leroux een minutieuze en precieze schriftuur en stelt hij producties voor die bestemd zijn voor het theater. Hij ontwikkelt « compositieprocessen » die exhaustief en zonder in herhaling te vallen alle mogelijke combinaties van een beperkt bewegingspalet op een rij zetten.

Leroux voert zijn choreografieën altijd zelf uit en ontwikkelde ook dagelijkse oefeningen voor dansers. Hij staat ook steevast in voor de belichting, de scenografie en de kostuums die de perceptie van beweging met een minimum aan effecten en middelen kunnen vervormen en uitvergroten. Brice Leroux werkt steeds op de grens tussen beeldende kunst en choreografie.

The French dancer and choreographer Brice Leroux finished his studies at the Conservatoire national supérieur de Lyon in 1992. With his first solo, created when he was eighteen years old, he immediately won the Concours International de la Danse in Paris. He finished his studies at the studios of Trisha Brown and Merce Cunningham in New York. As a young dancer, he joined Rosas, the company of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. After collaborations with David Hernandez and others, along with a residence at the Japanese Kanagawa Arts Foundation, Brice Leroux started to create his own work. In 1999 he created the solo Continuum, which became the name of his future company. The work of Leroux explores the boundaries between dance and the visual arts and is characterized by a strict implementation of minimalistic design. His first success on French and Belgium stages was on 2002, with the performance Gravitations - Quatuor. Brice Leroux also draw. His choreographic creations are seen also like a visual work, exploring the links between dance and music. His creations are more and more like plastic performances, such as Solo 2 - Fréquences, which explores, in the total dark and complex play of lights, the sensations of a small audience group.
