Arend PinoyFor Talking about Kevin, Arend Pinoy examined the mechanisms of being alone. How do you move? Whom do you talk to? What do you think? Can imagination moderate loneliness? Talking about Kevin is an unpretentious, humoristic performance in which a young man with a Ghent accent facetiously holds fictional conversations with himself to dissipate his loneliness. In all seriousness and playfulness, vulnerability and authenticity, Pinoy shows the torments as well as the joys of being alone. Dance and theatre make a bizarre mix between the reality of the stage and the illusion of the living room, between Arend and Kevin, between fantasy and madness. Energetic and frivolous, but brilliantly lonely. A performance with intelligent and surprising angles, that balances on the line between humor and vulnerability.
